The Curated Ear Planner

Mark the piercings you already have and the ones you want. The planner turns them into a sequenced plan: which placements to pierce in which session, how long to wait between sessions, when to downsize, and what jewellery each stage calls for.

The sequencing follows the same rules as our guide to piercing order: lobes anchor first, cartilage arrives two to three placements at a time, and sessions sit three to four months apart. Healing ranges align with Association of Professional Piercers guidance.

Tap a placement on the diagram or in the list. One tap = want, two = have already, three clears it.

    How the planner decides

Lobes go first because they heal fastest — around two to three months — and visually anchor everything above them. Cartilage placements are grouped into sessions of at most two to three, with anatomy-dependent placements (rook, daith, industrial) scheduled early so a piercer can confirm your ear suits them before the plan depends on it. Sessions are spaced three to four months apart, and every placement carries its own downsizing checkpoint, because over-long healing posts are the most common cause of irritation. The result is slower than piercing everything at once, and that is the point: it is the schedule healing tissue actually keeps.

The plan is guidance, not gospel — your piercer should always have the final word on placements, spacing and your anatomy.
